"Homo Lingo"

Pete brings up something interesting.

I don't get "homo lingo"

Why are we supposed to call each other homos? When did bitch become slang for friend?

And what exactly is a twink? All I know is they're young, and sometimes it's lengthened to twinkie, not to be confused with the snack cake.

It's gonna take time to get the hang of all this.

Thanks for the shout-out.

According to gay.nl, a twink is a "young, handsome homosexual". I don't quite agree with that.

Leaves lots of room for bitchin', this lingo thing!

"A twink is an attractive young or young-looking gay man (usually in his late teens or early twenties) with a slender build and little or no body hair.

Originally, the term referred exclusively to blonds, but the term has become increasingly inclusive to refer to other young men whose physical features match those principally described above, but are not blond or even Caucasian.

It also might be an allusion to the Twinkie pastry, which is golden (blonde) on the outside with cream on the inside, and is pleasantly sweet but with little nutritional value."
